When women get older, seeing dark circles, wrinkles, and pouches that form under the eyes so that the eyes look older and less bright is a troubling thing. However, with proper makeup treatment and good skin care, the eyes can look young and be the best part of the face. Eye makeup can brighten your face and make you feel more beautiful, so you become more confident with your age and skin.

The following makeup tips that you can do

Understand that a little makeup will produce a maximum appearance. Wearing eye shadow and other eye makeup is a skill and you may be tempted to use more makeup when you get older because you want to cover your skin as much as possible. However, excessive makeup will draw great attention to the eyes (and not a good reason). Choose a more natural appearance that makes your eyes stand out, but does not cause excessive attention.

Use good products

When talking about makeup, the more expensive a product is often a better product because it lasts longer and you don't need to overuse it when dressing. Using better quality makeup will ultimately be worth the results and you don't need to buy often.

Hide dark circles of eyes and eye bags

Using the principle of a little makeup produces a maximum appearance, apply a small amount of stain to hide dark circles or eye bags below and around the eyes, blend with the fingers to apply the stain to the skin. Choose a stain masquerade whose color is one or two levels brighter than the skin and try to apply only to darker parts, because applying to lighter parts will only cause discoloration on the face.

Use a primer (cream or lotion to make long-lasting makeup) eyelids

With eyelids that look tired that tend to fold during the day, the eye blushes easily fade or cause folds that look unnatural. Using a primer before wearing eye shadow will help make the eye shadow stick and will last longer during the day.

Wear neutral color eye shadow

Eyes that are more susceptible to wrinkles and slightly lower do not require a lot of color, just a little sparkle to make it look more alive. Sweep neutral or light colors like champagne yellow, yellowish brown, or brownish gray throughout the eyelid during the day, and then at night use a slightly darker color and apply it to the folds of the eyes for nighttime appearance.

  • Avoid using dark colors because it only causes the eyes to look more concave and heavy. Try to always use eye shadow with a non-shiny finish for eye folds, which means avoiding shiny eye shadow so as to accentuate eye folds that seem negative to old women.
  • Focus on the eyelids and folds of the eyes, because you don't need extra makeup on the brow bones to brighten the eyes. Wearing eye makeup under the eyebrows will look less natural and most of the attention must be focused on the eyes, not the skin above the eyes.
  • Wear clothes and jewelry to draw attention to eye color, not eye shadow. If you have blue eyes, wear a shirt that makes your eyes stand out, let the eye shadow highlight it, and not draw full attention to the eyelids. Choosing the right glasses that frame the eyes and face well will also highlight the beauty of the eyes.

Use pencil eye powder or powder

Choose softer colors like dark gray or dark brown, make a thin line on the upper eyelid and blend with a small brush if you want a very natural appearance. Using dark-colored liquid eye shadow often seems too hard on aging eyes, so using a soft eye shadow will accentuate your eyes without looking old.

  • Avoid wearing eye shadow under the eyes because this can make the eyes look smaller. If you still want color under the eyes, take a flat brush and by using eye shadow, make a soft colored line under the lashes.

Choose the right mascara

Even though your eyelashes are thin and rare, choose mascara that lengthens lashes instead of adding thick eyelashes. Creating thick eyelashes without lengthening the lashes will only cause the eyelashes to look shorter. The color of mascara is not a problem, but try to always use the color that matches your eyebrows (black is suitable for dark eyebrows, but if your eyebrows are blond, always use brown or dark brown mascara).

  • Before using mascara, lash the eyelashes so that they look good and then use a mascara primer so that the mascara lasts all day long. Don't squeeze the mascara container because this can cause the mascara to dry out.
  • Consider using waterproof mascara to last all day long.

Wear mascara

Start from the roots of the lashes, move the mascara along the lashes so that the mascara attaches to the roots of the lashes and then pulls to the ends of the lashes. Do this two to three times or until the lashes have a good layer of mascara.

  • Don't give too much mascara because this will make the lashes look thin and unnatural. There is a slight difference between giving the right layer of mascara to the lashes and using excessive mascara.
  • Don't use mascara for lower lashes because this will look unnatural and fake.

Don't be afraid to use fake eyelashes

Not everyone wants to wear it, but if your eyelashes become very thin or almost non-existent, having fake eyelashes that look natural will be useful for the eyes to look younger. Be sure to wear eyelashes that are installed one by one (good quality lashes will be more expensive), than false eyelashes that are installed at once

Shape eyebrows

As women get older, eyebrows can become thin and sometimes almost invisible. Finding professional expert advice on how to improve the appearance of your eyebrows can often help your eyes look younger because the expert is trying to repair the eyebrow's arch, so the eyes don't appear to fall.

  • You can also form your own eyebrows to make them look thicker and fuller to make the appearance of younger eyes. Using powder and an eyebrow pencil that has one or two darker levels of hair can help give color and thin eyebrows.
